Key Blanks and Keyways by Make: HU101, B111, TOY43, HON66, NSN14, HU92

A keyway is the blade profile a lock accepts, and each make runs a handful of them: Ford uses HU101 (2011 to roughly 2017) and HU198 (2017+) plus older H92/H75/H74 edge-cut blanks; GM uses B111 (Z-keyway), B102/GM39, B99 and HU100; Toyota, Scion and Subaru share TOY43, TOY43AT, TOY43R, TOY48 and TR47; Honda and Acura use HO01/HON66 and older HD103; Nissan, Infiniti and Subaru use NSN14 and NSN11 (DA34 on Subaru is DAT17); Hyundai and Kia use HY15 and HYN17; Mazda uses MZ34 and MAZ24R; BMW, Mini and Land Rover use HU92; VW, Audi and Porsche use HU66; and VA2T is the Peugeot/Citroen/Renault profile. Match the keyway first, then the chip, then the remote board, because a wrong blade will not even enter the lock.

Why the keyway comes before everything else

Every replacement key job has three matching problems: blade, chip and remote. The blade is the one you can check by eye, and it is what an Original Lishi 2-in-1 tool is built around: know the keyway and you know which Lishi decodes the lock, which blank or flip blade to cut, and (with the year) which chip family is likely. One caution: the same make can run two keyways in the same year on different models, so verify against the lock, not the badge.

Keyways by make

"None listed" means Car Key Source does not currently carry that Lishi tool. "Order by year" means keys for the platform are listed by vehicle and FCC ID rather than by keyway.

Ford: H92, HU101 and HU198

Ford ran edge-cut 8-cut blanks (H72, H74, H75, H84, H86, H92, H94) from the mid-1990s through about 2015, then moved to the side-milled HU101 profile from 2011 and to HU198 on 2017+ models such as the F-150, Escape and Expedition. The catalog carries the H92 4D63 80-bit transponder key, the H94 side-mill transponder key, the H75 remote head key OUCD6000022, and for HU101 flip keys the N5F-A08TAA 3-button flip key. For universal remotes, cut the KEYDIY HU101 #38 blade and fit it to an Xhorse or KEYDIY Ford-style flip. The Lishi for the new profile is the Original Lishi HU198 Ford 2017+. GM: B111, B102, B99 and HU100

GM's "Z-keyway" B111 is the 10-cut edge blank on most 2005–2017 trucks, SUVs and sedans. Stock the Original Lishi B111 GM Z-keyway alongside the B111 ID46 transponder key, the B119-PT 46E key and the B120-PT circle key. The older 10-cut family is covered by the Original Lishi GM39/B102, and the PK3-era B99 Megamos 13 key covers 1997–2008 fixed-code vehicles. The side-milled HU100 profile appears on 2010+ Cruze, Sonic, Equinox, Malibu and the PEPS flip keys; the Original Lishi HU100 GM 10-cut reads ignition, door and trunk, and the OHT01060512 PEPS flip key is the matching remote. Toyota, Scion, Subaru: TOY43, TOY43AT, TOY43R, TOY48, TR47

Toyota's edge-cut family splits into the 8-cut TOY43 (older doors and trunks), the 10-cut TOY43AT (ignitions from the late 1990s) and TR47, which is the same 10-cut profile in the TOY44 blank shape used on 2011+ remote head keys and plain H-chip keys. Car Key Source stocks both Lishi versions: the TOY43 8-cut door/trunk tool and the TOY43AT 10-cut ignition tool. Blanks: TOY43AT4 with 4C chip, TOY44D with D chip, TOY44H with H chip, and the KEYDIY TR47 #02 flip blade for universal remotes.

TOY43R is the reversed profile shared by Subaru with Chevrolet and GMC light trucks; the Original Lishi TOY43R and the Subaru B110 G-chip key cover it. TOY48 is the side-milled Lexus and later Toyota profile; the Original Lishi TOY48 pairs with Lexus keys such as the HYQ12BBT TOY48 remote head key. Honda and Acura: HO01/HON66 and HD103

HO01 (Lishi calls it HON66) is the side-milled profile on almost every Honda and Acura from 2003 onward, including remote head keys such as the 2011–2013 Odyssey N5F-A04TAA and the 2017–2022 Accord/Civic/CR-V MLBHLIK6-1T. The Original Lishi HO01/HON66 reads ignition, door and trunk. Pre-2003 Hondas and Acuras run the edge-cut HD103/HD106 blade, carried as the KEYDIY HD103 #03 flip blade. Nissan, Infiniti, Subaru: NSN14, NSN11 and DAT17

NSN14 is the side-milled profile on most 2000s-onward Nissan and Infiniti ignitions and doors, and Subaru used it on several models; stock the Original Lishi NSN14. NSN11 is the older edge-cut Nissan blade, also found on some Ford and Subaru locks; the Original Lishi NSN11 covers it. Nissan plain keys: NI01/NI02/NI04 ID46 and, for 2014+ Rogue and Kicks, NI07 4A AES. Subaru's DA34 blade (DAT17 in Lishi and Silca numbering) is the edge-cut profile on Legacy, Outback and Tribeca remote head keys; the KEYDIY DAT17 #65 flip blade fits universal flips, and the CWTWBU745 DA34 remote head key is the vehicle-specific option. Hyundai and Kia: HY15 and HYN17

HY15 is the side-milled blade on many 2006+ Hyundai and Kia models; HYN17 (also called HY18) is the edge-cut blade on the rest. Car Key Source stocks both as universal flip blades, the KEYDIY HY15 #33 and the KEYDIY HYN17 #Y16, which fit the Xhorse and KEYDIY Hyundai-style flip shells such as the KD-B16 and XKHY02EN. No HY15 Lishi is currently listed.

Mazda: MZ34 and MAZ24R

Mazda's edge-cut MZ34 (also MZ24 and MZ31) is the blade on 2003–2016 transponder keys; the catalog carries the MZ24/MZ34 4D63 80-bit key and the KEYDIY MZ34 #27 flip blade. MAZ24R is the reversed door-lock profile shared with Ford-built Mazdas; the Original Lishi MAZ24R door-lock tool decodes it.

BMW, VW/Audi and VA2T

HU92 is the side-milled BMW profile from the mid-1990s through the E-chassis years, shared by Mini and Land Rover. The Original Lishi HU92 reads the ignition and trunk on every listed vehicle, but doors only up to 2006, when BMW changed the door wafer stack. HU66 is the VW group profile on VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat and Skoda from 1998; the Original Lishi HU66 pairs with flip keys such as the VW NBG010180T ID48 flip key. VA2T is the Peugeot, Citroen and Renault profile, also on Renault-built Vauxhall and Opel vans; the Original Lishi VA2T covers door and trunk.

FAQ

Is HON66 the same as HO01?

Yes. HO01 is the Ilco-style blank number and HON66 is the Silca/Lishi name for the same side-milled Honda and Acura profile used from 2003 onward.

What is the difference between TOY43 and TOY43AT?

TOY43 is the 8-cut edge profile and TOY43AT is the 10-cut version used in ignitions from the late 1990s; the TR47 blade is the same 10-cut profile in the later TOY44 blank shape. Lishi sells separate door/trunk and ignition tools for this family.

Which Ford keyway is on a 2019 F-150?

The 2017+ F-150 uses the HU198 profile, which the Original Lishi HU198 tool reads; 2011–2016 models use HU101. Check the blade on the customer's key if one exists, because the two profiles look similar but do not interchange.

Does one Lishi tool cover Nissan and Subaru?

Often. NSN14 covers the side-milled locks on most Nissan and Infiniti and several Subaru models, but Subaru also used the edge-cut DA34/DAT17 blade on remote head keys, which needs a different blank.

Can I use KEYDIY blades in Xhorse remotes?

Yes. The KEYDIY blade packs listed here are made for both Xhorse and KEYDIY universal flip shells, so a single blade stock covers both remote brands.

Which keyways need a side-mill or laser cutter?

HU101, HU198, HU100, HU92, HU66, VA2T, TOY48, HON66, NSN14 and HY15 are side-milled profiles that need a laser or milling machine; H92, B111, B99, TOY43, TR47, TOY43R, HD103, DAT17, HYN17 and MZ34 are edge-cut and run on a standard code machine.
