Fobik is the name Chrysler gave to the key fobs used across Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles. The common version has no exposed blade: the whole fob goes into the dash ignition and turns, with an emergency key stored inside the shell for the doors. Proximity versions for push-button start use the same family name.

A Fobik carries both the transponder the immobiliser checks and the remote buttons. New fobs are generally added through the OBD port with a key programmer, and these platforms usually require the vehicle PIN, or a tool that can obtain it, before a key can be added.

Fobiks for one vehicle can differ by button layout (remote start, hatch, power sliding doors) and by whether the vehicle is proximity or insert-to-turn. Match the FCC ID and part number on the original fob, confirm the button layout, and check whether the emergency key needs cutting before the job is done.
