Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Car Key Source website and your purchase of products from us (together, the "Services"). By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business.

1. Trade eligibility & accounts

Car Key Source sells exclusively to verified trade buyers — licensed locksmiths, automotive service businesses, dealers, and related professionals — for resale or professional use. We are not a consumer retailer. Wholesale pricing and ordering unlock only after we review and approve your account. We may request business or licensing information to verify your eligibility and may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke any account at our discretion.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account and any team members you invite. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. Products, fitment & descriptions

We describe each product by attributes such as FCC ID, part number, cross-reference, chip type, frequency, and vehicle fitment. You are responsible for confirming that a part is correct for your application before ordering — matching by FCC ID, part number, or cross-reference. When those identifiers match, fitment is guaranteed under the Car Key Source promise (see our Refund & Returns Policy).

Aftermarket parts are compatible replacements and are not manufactured or endorsed by the vehicle manufacturer. Brand names, vehicle makes, and part numbers are used for identification and cross-reference only. We work to keep listings accurate but do not warrant that descriptions, imagery, or availability are error-free, and we may correct errors, update specifications, or discontinue products at any time.

3. Pricing, taxes & payment

• Prices are shown to approved accounts in your region's currency (USD for the United States, CAD for Canada) and may change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the price confirmed at checkout.
• Volume discounts are applied automatically per line based on the quantity of that item — 5% at 5–9 units, 10% at 10–24 units, and 15% at 25 or more units.
• All orders are prepaid. Payment is processed at checkout through our payment provider; we do not offer credit terms unless separately agreed in writing.
• Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes and duties unless stated. You are responsible for any sales, use, or similar taxes, which are calculated at checkout where required.

4. Orders, acceptance & cancellation

Your submission of an order is an offer to purchase. All orders are subject to acceptance and to product availability. We may decline or cancel an order — including after it is placed — for reasons such as suspected error in pricing or description, suspected fraud, or stock unavailability, and will refund any amount charged for a cancelled order. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the order is handed to the carrier.

5. Shipping

We ship across the United States and Canada, domestically within each region. In-stock orders placed by 4 PM ET on a business day are dispatched the same business day. Free shipping is provided on qualifying orders as described on our Shipping page. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Many products contain lithium batteries and are shipped in accordance with applicable dangerous-goods regulations, which may affect transit options or timing. See our Shipping page for details.

6. Returns & warranties

Returns, replacements, and our programs-or-refunded guarantee are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Except as expressly stated there and to the fullest extent permitted by law, products are provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Acceptable use & resale

You agree to use the Services lawfully and only for legitimate professional purposes, and to comply with all laws applicable to the purchase, possession, programming, and resale of automotive keys and security products. You will not use the Services to facilitate vehicle theft or any unlawful activity, misrepresent your identity or eligibility, scrape or overload the site, or resell in a manner that violates applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including site content, text, graphics, and logos, are owned by Car Key Source or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them except as necessary to use the Services for their intended purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Car Key Source will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or business, arising out of or related to the Services or any product, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for the product(s) giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Car Key Source and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your resale or installation of products.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise. (Confirm the governing jurisdiction with your counsel before launch.)

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
