GM OUC60270, OHT01060512, HYQ1EA: Which GM Remote Is Which
GM remotes and smart keys by vehicle and year, why OUC6000022 is actually a Ford code, and the part numbers behind each

OUC60270 (paired with OUC60221) is the 2006–2016 GM keyless entry remote for Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC cars and SUVs — 315 MHz, no chip, in 4-, 5- and 6-button layouts. OHT01060512 is the 2010–2020 GM 5-button PEPS flip key (315 MHz, 46 chip) for Cruze, Malibu, Equinox, Terrain, LaCrosse and similar. OUC6000022, despite the same prefix, is a Ford code: in the catalog it is the 2005–2012 F-Series and Explorer remote head key, not a GM part. From 2014 the trucks moved to M3N32337100 remotes and HYQ1AA / HYQ1EA / HYQ1ES smart keys, the cars to HYQ4AA / HYQ4EA, and from 2021 the full-size trucks and SUVs use HUFGM2718 / YG0G21TB2. The tables below sort them by vehicle and year.
Why "OUC" does not mean GM
The letters before the numbers in an FCC ID are the grantee code of the company that certified the transmitter, not the vehicle maker. OUC, OHT, M3N, HYQ, NBG, LXP and HUF are all supplier codes. That is why OUC6000022 (Ford) and OUC60270 (GM) look related but fit completely different vehicles, and why HYQ shows up on both Toyota and GM keys. Read the whole ID, then confirm the part number. For the basics see how to find the FCC ID on a key fob.
OUC60270 / OUC60221: 2006–2016 GM keyless entry remotes
These are plain RKE remotes — no transponder, no blade — so the vehicle still uses a separate transponder key (B111 / B119 / B120 46-chip blanks). All are 315 MHz and aftermarket.

OUC6000022: the Ford remote that gets mistaken for GM
The catalog lists OUC6000022 once, as a 4-button remote head key for 2005–2012 Ford Expedition, Explorer, F-150 to F-750, Lincoln MKX and Navigator, Mazda and Mercury equivalents: 315 MHz, 4D-63+ DST80 chip, part numbers 164-R8067 and 5912561, cross-referencing CWTWB1U793. Product, FCC page /fcc/ouc6000022. If a customer with a GM truck quotes this code, they have read it off the wrong key. The Ford family is covered in Ford M3N and N5F fobs explained.
2014–2022 GM trucks and full-size SUVs: M3N32337100, HYQ1AA, HYQ1EA, HYQ1ES
The K2XX-generation trucks and SUVs split into keyed (RKE remote plus transponder key) and PEPS (smart key) trims. All aftermarket.

HYQ1AA and HYQ1EA fit the same 2015–2020 SUVs; the difference the catalog records is frequency (315 versus 433 MHz). Both use an NCF2951E / HITAG 2 / 46 chip. Read the frequency off the original fob or check the customer's other key before choosing. The Escalade of the same years uses HYQ2AB (2015–2020, 6-button, 315 MHz, PN 13580812; product).
2016–2023 GM cars and crossovers: HYQ4AA, HYQ4EA, HYQ4ES
| FCC ID | Buttons | Freq | Fits (per catalog) | Part numbers | Grade | Product |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HYQ4EA | 5 | 433 | 2016–2022 Camaro, Cruze, Malibu | 13590048, 13589533, 13508769, 13584497 | AM | HYQ4EA cars |

| HYQ4AA | 5 | 315 | 2018–2021 Bolt, Cruze, Sonic, Spark, Volt | 13584498, 13585723, 13529650 | AM | HYQ4AA |
| HYQ4ES | 4 | 434 | 2021–2023 Buick Encore GX | 13530513 | Genuine OEM | Encore GX OEM |
All are 46-chip (NCF2951E / HITAG 2). As with the trucks, HYQ4AA versus HYQ4EA is a 315 versus 433 MHz split on overlapping models, so the frequency is the deciding detail.
2021+ full-size trucks and SUVs: HUFGM2718 / YG0G21TB2
The T1XX generation moved to a 49-chip (NCF29A1V / HITAG PRO) smart key: a 6-button for 2021–2025 Yukon, Suburban and Tahoe (434 MHz, PN 13548434, 13537964, 13541567 and others; product) and a 5-button for 2022–2024 Silverado and Sierra 1500 (433 MHz, PN 13548437, 13548440; product). The 2021–2024 Escalade uses YG0G20TB1 (6-button, 433 MHz, PN 13538864; product). These are not backward-compatible with the HYQ1 keys.

FAQ
Is OUC6000022 a GM remote?
No. In the Car Key Source catalog OUC6000022 is a 2005–2012 Ford F-Series, Expedition and Explorer remote head key. The GM remote with a similar prefix is OUC60270 / OUC60221.
What is the difference between OUC60270 and OUC60221?
They are listed together on every GM remote row as interchangeable FCC IDs for the same 315 MHz remote. Choose by button count and part number, not by which of the two codes is printed on the customer's fob.
Does the OUC60270 remote have a chip?
No. It is a keyless entry remote only; the vehicle still needs a 46-chip transponder key (B111, B119-PT or B120-PT blank depending on year and model).
HYQ1AA or HYQ1EA for a 2017 Tahoe?
Both are listed for 2015–2020 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The catalog records HYQ1AA at 315 MHz and HYQ1EA at 433 MHz, so match the frequency of the customer's existing key or verify against the vehicle.
Which GM smart keys use a 49 chip instead of 46?
The 2021+ HUFGM2718 / YG0G21TB2 truck and SUV keys and the 2021+ YG0G20TB1 Escalade key are listed with NCF29A1V / HITAG PRO / 49 chips. Everything from OHT01060512 through HYQ1ES and HYQ4EA is 46-chip.
