Xhorse Universal Smart Keys & Remotes

Xhorse is the deepest universal range on our shelf, and the one most locksmiths meet first, because the entry cost is a cable and a red-box XK remote rather than a tablet. The range splits four ways for whole keys and the split matters more than the shell does: XK wired with no chip, XN wireless with an NXP transponder, XE Super Remote with the VVDI Super Chip already inside, and XS proximity smart keys on the XM38 platform. A fifth line, XZ, is boards only, for reusing a customer's original shell.

The shells are cut to look like the vehicle they are going on — Toyota, Ford, Volkswagen, Porsche, Jeep, Chrysler, Lexus and Buick styles, plus the Knife and Supercar bodies that sell on looks alone. What you are actually buying is the platform underneath, so pick the series by how you work: cable on the bench, wireless in the van, Super Chip if you are tired of stocking transponders, XM38 if the job is push-to-start.

Every Xhorse blank has to be generated on an Xhorse tool before it will talk to a vehicle. It will not generate on an Autel or a KeyDIY tool, and no firmware update changes that — the platforms are closed to each other.
